Cacti Fall in Riverside Tournament

Riverside, CA - The Fighting Cacti fell to 0-2 in the Riverside Community College Tournament that features some of the best teams in the state. This time they were on the wrong end of the scoreboard from the battle tested Cerritos Falcons. The two teams have taken similar paths this season, with neither team backing away from elite competition. Cerritos would come away with the win in this contest, 84-71. 

The Cacti would keep it close at half, only trailing by 6 despite shooting just 37% from the field. CMC would see a much improved shooting performance in the second half shooting over 45%, but Cerritos connected on two-thirds of their shots in the half to pull away from the Cacti. Schneider Casseus would have his best performance on the young season, throwing in 21 points on 7-11 shooting and connecting on 3 from long range. Tyler Hudson would add 11 points on the evening and he also led the way with 4 assists. Zack Kroker and Marc Hall each ripped down 6 rebounds for the copper and teal. 

The Cacti with conclude their play at the RCC tournament with a rematch against state powerhouse East Los Angeles. The game is schedule for Saturday December 7th and will tip off at noon.
