Rancho Cucamonga, CA - For the second time in three days, Copper Mountain College Men's Basketball team found themselves in a battle with Chaffey College, and for the second time the Cacti found themselves on the winning end when the final buzzer went off. The struggles the Cacti had in game one on Saturday continued through the first half on Monday. CMC was not able to put the ball in the basket as they only scored 23 points in the first half and found themselves down 7 as they headed to the locker room. Coach Walter Parham and staff revitalized the Cacti as they came out for the second half determined to keep up with their winning ways. The fighting Cacti would outscore the Panthers 46-29 in the second half to post a 10 point win, 69-59 improving their record to 6-1 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play.

The Cacti had a balanced attack on offense against Chaffey as they saw four players reach double figures on the night. Tyler Hudson led the way with 18 points and Mikah Blackwell and Cris Dominguez each had 16. Travion Jackson contributed 14 for the Cacti. Blackwell led the team in rebounds and Hudson was the assist leader.

The 6-1 mark is good for a share of first in the IEAC with San Bernardino Valley College and those two teams will face off on Wednesday at SBVC for the outright lead in the Conference as the teams reach the halfway point in conference play. Tipoff is set for 7 PM.
