Copper Mountain Men's Basketball notch another win!

Copper Mountain Men's Basketball notch another win!

Defense!  That is what the Copper Mountain College Men stress when they get on to the court and it showed tonight with their 69-66 win over College of the Desert.  COD came into the night averaging over 80 points a game with their quick uptempo style.  The aggressiveness and switching style Copper Mountain played led to some early frustrations by the Roadrunners which allowed the Frighting Cacti to close the half with an eleven point lead.  Desert came out with intenstity to start the second half and pulled close but CMC stayed the course and with some key shots by Phil Bernardez and Levin Holloway along with clutch free throws from Luke George, the Fighting Cacit secured the win.  The Cacti were led again in scoring by Luke George with 19 and had three other players score in double digits.  Copper Mountain now has a little layoff before they return to action on November 21 at Imperial Valley College.
