Joshua Tree, CA - The Cacti ladies struggled to find the bottom of the net Wednesday night and dropped their contest to San Diego Mesa 71-36. The Cacti only connected on 3-29 from three and shot 26% overall. Coach Ken Simonds said, "We have been loaded with injuries all year, but that is no excuse. We need to compete, defend better, and execute on the offensive end. We will get this fixed. The ladies are determinned to produce better results."

Lelisa Watson led the way for the Cacti finishing with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Alyssa Shepard contributed 8 points and Angelica Enriquez added 6 points. The Cacti open up Inland Empire Athletetic Conference play on Wednesday against IEAC favorite Mt. San Jacinto college. That game will be hosted by MSJC and tip off at 5:00 PM.
