Julienne, Anton, and Enriquez All Post Career Highs In Win

Barstow, CA - The scoring prowess of Lelisa Watson is well known, but her teammates shouldered most of the load in the Cacti's road game against Barstow College. Niy'Asia Julienne got it started early scoring 8 of her career-best 13 points in the first half. Gina Anton found her stroke in the second half scoring 13 for the game including connecting on 3 three-pointers in the third quarter. Angelica Enriquez also had her best effort of the season scoring 10 points all in the second half. Anton also added 5 assists and 5 rebounds while Enriquez grabbed 7 rebounds. Patricia Muao tied her season-best with 7 points and collected another 10 rebounds on the night. The team effort led to a 72-58 victory for Copper Mountain.

Lelisa Watson was very efficient again for the Fighting Cacti. She scored 29 points on 10-19 shooting. Her ability to find her teammates was her biggest asset on the night though. Watson dished out 7 assists to add to her 9 rebounds and 5 steals. The Cacti improve to 2-4 in IEAC play as they start the second half of conference play on Saturday against first-place Mt. San Jacinto. Tip is set for 1 PM inside the Bell Center at Copper Mountain College.
